Company plans to build massive floating city

The Florida-based company Freedom Ship International is seeking $1 billion in capital funding to start building a city within a ship — complete with residences, shopping venues, schools and a hospital — that sails constantly around the world. The ship would measure 4,500 feet long and 350 feet high, according to the company.

This concept image shows what Freedom Ship International hopes to have their giant floating city look like. It would include all the amenities of a city on land, with the added bonus of sailing around.
